Terms of Service

The rules everyone using IVO agrees to. Plain language where we can, precise language where we have to.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account on any IVO node - operated by Internetivo Ltd ("IVO", "we", "us") or by a federated peer - you agree to these Terms of Service. If you act on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You must complete identity verification (KYC) before withdrawing funds, posting paid projects above the free tier, or operating a node. We may decline service to anyone in a sanctioned jurisdiction.

  • You are responsible for the security of your credentials and any activity under your account.
  • One natural person may operate multiple accounts only if each is for a separate verified legal entity.
  • We may suspend accounts to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or sanctions violations.

3. Roles on the platform

IVO is a marketplace, not an employer. Workers are independent contractors. Project owners are buyers of work. Investors are providers of capital. Node operators are independent businesses choosing to host an IVO instance. We are not a party to the underlying contracts you form with each other.

4. Fees, escrow & payouts

The platform fee is 10% of every completed task, deducted from the worker's earnings, unless a different rate is published in writing on the homepage or in your enterprise agreement. All paid tasks are funded into an escrow wallet at creation; funds release to the worker on owner approval or by the dispute mechanism in §7.

  • Withdrawals are subject to KYC tier limits. See documentation for current tiers.
  • FX is converted at the rate captured at the moment of release, with a stated spread.
  • Refunds for unstarted tasks are returned to the originating wallet within 3 business days.

5. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you post (briefs, deliverables, profile material). You grant IVO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and route that content as needed to run the marketplace. On task approval, IP rights to deliverables transfer per the project terms you agree with the worker - IVO does not arbitrate that transfer except via §7.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use IVO to:

  • Launder funds, evade taxes, or bypass sanctions.
  • Solicit work that breaks the law in the worker's or owner's jurisdiction.
  • Bypass platform fees by moving an active task off-platform.
  • Submit deliverables you do not have the rights to deliver.
  • Probe, scrape, or stress-test the platform without written authorisation. Authorised testing channels are documented in our bug bounty.

7. Disputes & arbitration

If a project owner and worker disagree on whether a task was delivered as briefed, either party may open a dispute. The IVO Arbitration GEM produces an evidence-based recommendation; if either party rejects it, the case escalates to a human arbitrator within IVO's compliance team. Their decision is binding on the escrowed funds for that task only.

8. Federation & node operators

An IVO node is an independent WHMCS instance running the IVO addon. Node operators sign a separate operator agreement covering uptime, KYC handling, and revenue share. Cross-node tasks follow the rules of the originating node, plus these Terms.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time after settling open obligations. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, regulatory request, or prolonged inactivity (over 24 months) with notice.

10. Warranties & liability

The platform is provided as-is. We do not warrant that any specific worker, project, or investment will be successful. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of (a) the platform fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €1,000.

11. Changes to these terms

We will email registered users at least 14 days before any material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Past versions are archived and linked from the footer.

12. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through §7 will be brought before the competent courts of Cyprus. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under EU law.
